Audition & Cold Reading

The purpose of this class is to provide participants with an array of tools to improve cold reading and audition technique. Each week the tools are discussed and actors are given scenes to help illustrate the use of them. Some of the tools are pulled from simple acting techniques, other from Michael Shurtleff’s AUDITION, and others from Ms. Barylski’s 28 years of experience as a casting director. Audition protocol is discussed as well. The four-week session culminates with a mock audition.

Each four-week class follows the same format but is always a little different, pending the experience level of each indivdual class.
